Real easy to put online. Had to take the old one offline as I was being spammed on it. Love the new features OWM.. Great work again.<

Yes, always like your mods.

Just on a fresh install I did notice that after the dbs_guestbook.asp was ran, I needed to run the dbs_guestbook_v34-to-v35.asp.

Also there was no install instructions in the zip.<

Cheers,

David Greening

upgrade from 3.4 to 3.5 works well. Moderation feature is great, but I'd like to change when the thank you email is sent. Right now it's sent when the guest submits the entry (before moderation), and I'd like sent when entry is accepted (after moderation and only to those whose entries are accepted).

cheers,
Nat<

Hmm, looks like I haven't added the upgrade info to the dbs_guestbook.asp file, will be corrected!
Instructions are in the zip now though.

This sort of guestbook function makes it gold... <

OK, DBS file (dbs_guestbook.asp) corrected, and changed the code to send an email notification on approval (thanks Nat).

For those who already have v3.5 installed, simply overwrite your admin_guestbook.asp and guestbook.asp files.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! <

I do not know if it is me, but the approval is not working in the code for some reason. Sorry OWM...

Sorry dude, Everytime I go to click on the link to approve new entries where it states "((how many) entries awaiting approval)" I click on the link and it does a refresh of the page with the call in the URL (forum/guestbook.asp?action=view&method=approve).

There is no errors shown or anything, just like a refresh of the page. Is there something different in the new code?<

The link "x entries awaiting approval" lists all unapproved entries...
To approve entries, you have to click the icon and confirm the approval.

I'll post an update soon, with the HTML fix Image posted (thanks) and additional moderation features (approve all/delete all unapproved entries).<

OK, after some investigations from me, I have worked out why I am getting the error I am. It appears that the Guestbook requires at least 1 viewable entry in it before moderation is enabled. Once the first entry is in from a fresh install, the guestbook works great.<

David Greening
