I never used it. If I want to clear the form fields I'll reload the page. It's just as easy.

for those of you wanting to keep the Reset Button but warn your visitors that they will lose their data (as previously discussed in this thread) take a look at this small example:

Yes, just want to see how many people will notice it not being there.

I have never used it...

But there have been more often than a few times, when I have typed a post, went to click the preview button but accidentally clicked the Reset button and everything I just typed out is gone. Anyone understand the frustration that brings? lol

Happened to me more than once.

This is one of the last topics I've read this morning (and I haven't been online since Friday) and I didn't notice it was missing until Dayve mentioned it.

Ugg. . . you took away my reset button.

I do use it when replying with a quote. Sometimes I mangle the quote so badly that I want to start over with a fresh copy. I wouldn't want to misquote anyone now would I.

I think it should be gone, but maybe a setting so people can turn it on in the admin section so there is not 18 million questions asking how to add it.

Could someone help me by explaining how to remove the reset button. We have had several users complain about it recently

just remove the <input type="reset" on any form....

if you want to add a confirm box, add this in there... example:

<input type="reset" value="Reset" onClick="javascript: return confirm('Are you sure?')">

the green part im not sure if that needs to be in there or not.... try without first :)
