Does it have to be a future date, or one of our favorites from the past?

3.4 is written entirely in response.write's yes??? Considering all of the mod installation problems people have been having on 3.3.x lately, where they either forget to put a <% or %>, I'm thinking this will be a very good thing!
Can't wait!

Well, that is almost certainly a matter of opinion, admittedly they can't miss of %> but is just as easy to miss out "'s in the strings whic causes just as many problems, plus to insert code into any of the existing code files may been having to beak into a string, so you may foget to do things like remove &_ from the preceding line, or forget to add a response.write to restart the string on the following line, etc etc
the decisoin to sue response.writes was purely for performance issues under ASP 2

I would think if a mod author feels more comfortable creating his/her mod in html then they can do so. They would just need to use a closing asp tag %> to close off the reponse.write section and start using html for thier mod. Then when done use the opening asp tag <% to let the rest of the response.write continue.

Yes but it has the name. It is basic.
At least the input methods will change. In 14th level languages they will tell what they like and it will be ready in a couple seconds (I know, I visited them last month).
