Hey, this is much faster. Good job. The only thing is that I don't have time to get a cup of coffee every time I try to load a new page.

You will have to get a faster coffee maker
As you can now all see the status, I will close this topic. |

Hello Everyone!
All of these posts are making me more curious than ever.
What to do? What to do?
As always thanks everyone for you constant help and support.
To think... (I'm thinking now) before Snitz my life was kinda virtually boring.
After Snitz... The internet is challenging, not troubling. ASP is very interesting, and for the most part I have a better understanding of a system that works for me on the internet.
Thanks Again,
-Scott |

It's now 6 days since last update!!
My impatient nature is starting to show. My fingers are all warmed up and tickling over my keyboard waiting to get the upgrade started.
When can I expect to see something?
And until, will there be a guide on how to upgrade fra a heavily modified 3.1SR4 to the new version? Is there any tools available to merge the two versions databases and/or source code? |

Upgrading from a 3.1SR4 version thats heavily modded will take some effort. The database will upgrade fine using the setup.asp supplied with 3.4, but you will have to re-do all of your mods.
There are no tools available that could reliably merge the two versions of the forum, I'm afraid you are going to have to do it all by hand. The changes between 3.1 and 3.4 are vast |

Will the Setup.asp update all the database changes as well?
As for updating the code, then I'm think of using ARAXIS to evaluate and merge the code. Have anyone else experience with this tool for Snitz (or any other ASP). |

I just noticed the "prev page" and "next page" underneath the dropdown box for page number. Was that added recently? I don't remember seeing it before nor seeing in the messages that it was being added. If just added, THANKS for the addition. I'm old and that drag to make two keystrokes into one is very tiring.
Thanks. Looks great. If I want to go forward or backward more than one page then I can use the dropdown box to go to the page that I want. Excellent addition to make a lot of people happy. Thanks for thinking of us.
Thanks.
Mike
