You might want to try Beyond Compare by Scooter Software to compare old and new files. I use it all the time with great results. |

Hi all, First and most important, thank you for this terrific forum! For non-programmers like me it is truly a wonderful tool you offer.
When i just logged on to this site, as usual it looked like it was going to load quickly, but then it paused. Up near the top Snitz logo it displayed something about Highest number of users, Total users today and one other I didn't notice. I left the page and cam back and it seems to be gone.
Just an FYI. |

Hmm, See above post. It did the same thing today. I tried several times and it wouldn't let me in. I needed to shut down IE, and try a few times to get in.

Let it take as long as it takes... This close to a release and with a security issue... I can wait as long as it takes because I sure don't want that bug in it!

This may be related to external adds not loading. those pages are nothing to do with the forum and have not changed. |

That wouldn't be the 1st time I've seen an ad server lock-up/delay a site before.

I completely agree. The wait has been quite long for many of us, so we can wait a while longer. Besides, we might find some new things to fix (I won't say the B word) while we're waiting for this big thing to be fixed...
<% function do_disclamer() %> Now please don't say that I'm not being fair as I'm already using 3.4 'cause I'm using the RC2 that's running here, and mine doesn't have the bug fixes that this forum already has. I too am waiting for the final release <% end disclaimer %> |

i like to take the code without bugs even after one month (iam joke do not believe me). fixing bugs make us confuisng which version we use or some do not update bugs after download. i think this what will make them late to available the new Version to downlaod.

As for updating the code, then I'm think of using ARAXIS to evaluate and merge the code. Have anyone else experience with this tool for Snitz (or any other ASP).
Don't even bother attempting to do this, pretty much every single line in the newcode whill be different in your compare programme, you will find it extremely difficult if not impossible to do this. You will need to fix and re-install every mod that you have. |
