After the "Do you Wii?! topic I think a new topic is necessary ; do you (have/use an) iPhone 3G? I have one, and here's my three minute review: click. Man, I haven't been an Apple fan at all, but I'm sure loving this nifty featurephone! < |

Don't think I will ever buy one. Must say I dislike the hype around it, as well. Nifty as it may be, it's still a phone, an expensive one for that matter, and I'm sure the telcos love it, cause this 3G baby will get them quite some data revenue... if it sells well.< |

No plans to at this point in time.
I'm quite happy with my AT&T Tilt (It goes by something else outside AT&T, I just don't remeber what it is...)< |

16Gb = 599 Euros without subscription
as it here in DK... prices are insane as I already specified in MarcelG forum.< |

I am so glad I live in the US when it comes to data blanks I have the blackberry pearl I love this phone and its only $30(us) unlimited data.

Bruno,
I will never spend 600 euros on a phone, never. My phone is used for, of all things, talking. I hardly use SMS, never MMS. My current one, a Motorola RazR2 Luxury Edition (or whatever it's named), cost me 99 euros on a fidelity promotion by my provider and it does a lot of stuff I hardly use. It has an MP3 player as well, 2 GB storage, camera and stuff and they hardly get used. I'm happy with it and will keep it for a long time.
I also find the european cost of the iPhone to be outrageous when compared with the US. The US models are cheaper and with the current USD / Euro conversion rate, they are even cheaper. Apple is trying to make a lot of money on europeans.< |

The US models are cheaper? I don't think that's valid for the Netherlands. Let's calculate: iPhone 3G 16GB : € 159,- Subscription: 24 months € 29,95 Included in subscription: unlimited 2mbit down 384 kbit up HSDPA, 150 minutes, 150 text, unlimited access to T-Mobile WiFi hotspots. That's € 13 euro more expensive than my previous sim-only subscription, which did not include the HSDPA connection speed, and had 90 texts less per month. So, in fact this phone is not that expensive. Next to that, I sold my previous phone for € 220, so all in all it's almost free of charge.
Huw, did you get the HTC Touch Diamond? I had it in my hands last Saturday ; it's tiny compared to the HTC Tytn2 I previously owned ! < |

Yes, it is tiny, but it is a lot easier to use than my Orange SPV M600 (imate Jamin)

Have you checked what they actually mean by "unlimited" you will probably find that unlimited does not mean what you think and is almost certainly subject to a 'fair use policy' which limits you to 3Gb a month< |

Huw, yep, I've triple checked it, and checked the Service Agreements numerous times already, and there's no fair use policy. It's unlimited. There's one catch though ; you are not allowed to use the iPhone 3G as a tethered modem with your laptop. Given the fact that that is not possible (for now) as the iPhone has no software for that (yet), there's no real catch. In Germany however, the same company (T-Mobile) is providing the same phone with the same monthly price, but for that you only get 50 minutes, no texts and only 500 MB of data (after that it's GPRS speed, and still 'FUP'). Worst part ; the 16 GB iPhone is then still € 249.... (more info: http://oxle.com/reply/44303) So, no, there's no catch, and the Netherlands is a very iPhone friendly country. < |

Nah, I don't want a screen constantly covered in thumbprints.
That's why I recently upgraded from my trusty N73 to an N95 8GB. Cost me less than £50 to upgrade and I'm very happy with it. Oh, and it's 3.5G when surfing. < |

That is related to one of my few complaints about the Tilt - when you're using an on-screen keypad its hard to dial a number without looking at the phone... I miss that part of my old Treo 650.< |

cool, I'm jealous.
just discovered the coolest game on my Touch Diamond, you know those games you get where you have to drop a little silver ball into a hole while avoiding all the other holes etc, well ther is a version on the diamond, it is wicked, even has vibration feedback when you bump the walls and stuff, endlees fun < |
