It looks like its possible to bump poll counts up via deleting your cookies and just voting again yes ??
If I'm correct has anyone already thought about or coded a work around to this ??
Cheers.

First, I really appreciate your help.
Now, the first set of errors were indeed a reinstall. I had tried to install it, and got a long list of errors, so I tried to reinstall it, and that was the errors for it.
The second list of errors was another attempt at a fresh install with all original files restored from backup. I am not running any other mods.
This is my config.asp info you wanted:
strDBType = "access"
strConnString = "DRIVER={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)}; DBQ=d:/html/users/racersloungecom/database/snitz_forums_2000.mdb" '## MS Access 97
I also tried as access 2000 as follows:
strConnString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=d:/html/users/racersloungecom/database/snitz_forums_2000.mdb" '## MS Access 2000
Neither would install right. I followed the readme.txt instructions to the letter. And all the files came from the Zip that I downloaded on here.
Again, thanks for your help!

Finally got it installed. Tried a new install with Access 2000, again. It installed OK. So far the only problem I have had is with the feature poll. If it is enabled, then I get an error on every page disaplayed.
Thanks for your help.

Racerlounge, lets continue your discussion in a new topic in the Help: MOD Implementation forum please. Post the error messages you say you are getting in the new topic.
The Poll Mod has been updated with bug fixes and some small additional features. Please check the first post for details.

Side by side? That's gonna be pretty small space for the polls. When you say side by side you mean like ------------- ----------- | Events | | Polls | ------------- ----------- Rest of Forum here That's what you mean right? It's gonna look really squashed between the two of them.

Ok. Well if you only want to show the calendar, then that would give some more space to the polls. ---------- --------------------- | Events | | Polls | ---------- --------------------- Well, if you can get the events section to just show the calendar, I can get the polls where you want them to go.

Davio,
I wanted to let you know that the error I was getting was due to the "feature poll" being set on in the moderator's section, when there was no polls posted yet. Other than that, it has been working great.
This is a great program, and the mod is as well.
Thanks for all your help, sorry I don't know that much about programming.

You're the second person who has been getting that. Can you make me an Admin on your forum and I'll check it out. I registered as Davio.
What database are you using?

Well, what did you do? I have 2 other users having the same problem and I don't have a clue why it might be causing the error.
So any info on what you did that fixed it would be helpful. Or maybe another mod might be interfering with it.

I had just installed the Private Messaging and when I copied the poll code over I messed the PM code up and it caused an error. Have the users check to make sure other codes they installing weren't changed or messed when they copied the poll code over...

Ok, I figured it out. If anyone else get this errorerror '80020009' Exception occurred. Default.asp, line 101 Or something like that, go here to fix it: link.asp?TOPIC_ID=10357
I have updated the zip with the fix.

I cannot get anything on the admin_poll.asp to "reset". Can't change "on" to "off". I couldn't even activate a poll - so I erased it. Help! You can find what I am talking about at:
http://www.calvarycentral.org/am/cgi-bin/forum/admin_poll.asp (If you want to take a look - I can set you up with name and password)
It might help to know that I copied all the forum files from another directory - where everything worked (in fact that site with forum is still runing w/out errors). I re-directed the config.asp to point to the correct database, and I ran the poll_drop.asp to get rid of any old information. I then ran the mod-dbsetup.asp for the poll mod and didn't get any errors.
Thanks, Shep
