Yup was causing me 32 GB's of transactional log per day, however, switching to Simple mode fixed it once and for all...<

Well, that's easy to answer: my hosting provider does not provide SQL2008, they only provide SQL2000. <

hehe, well it's at least better than MS Access 2000.

I'm going to look into further optimizing the site and SQL database to see if I can squeeze out some more performance. I expect this subforum has some valuable topics for me.

I've also inquired if it's possible to enable IIS compression, as I spotted they haven't enabled that there yet.<

Well, I think Snitz is optimized best humanly possible for SQL 2000 except full-text search part (hope your provider allow FT tho)

Further if I can find time to scratch my head, I'm willing to optimize some codes for SQL 2005/2008 such as changing pagings to ROW_ID etc.<

everyone gives you SQL 2008 (if using a Windows hosting), it's only a file! use SQL Server 2008 Express Edition, you don't need a full server for Snitz! (as long as you don't passed 4Gb of data at least)

By the way, how many rows your FORUM_REPLY table has? mine has more than 35.000 and I'm thinking to move the DB to SQL as well <

No, they provide SQL2000, not SQL Express 2008.
It's not just 'a file'....

I meant SQL Server 2008 Express Edition ... it is just a file an mdf file

You don't need to go to the full Server environment, Express edition is more than suitable for Snitz Forum.<
