We haven't beaten France in France for 27 years so I guess we'll be on that plane home with England after the groups finish up

Was going to invite you down to the session in my place on Friday for the match but I reckon you'll be in a much better locale for hurling abuse at the French when we do overcome the odds!

well, I enjoyed the Wales/Aussie game even though we didn't win, we did at least show signs that we could do if we just start playing from the start rather than just at the end.we should at least get to the 1/4 finals but don't fancy our chances much against SA though.
Englend getting trashed was obviously the highlight of the weekend |

Definitely. Thought it was all over at half time (25 - 3) so nipped out to pick something up from a mate's gaff (the sun was out so I figured it was a good time to take a break from 6 hours of rugby! ). Got back with about 2 minutes left (32 - 20) wondering why the hell the 1st half couldn't have been as close. Was it just me or did the referee call an end to it about a minute too early?

No idea, don't really keep track of the time so much when you are at the match |

yet again, Portugal put on an excellent show, they had Italy up against the wall for most of the match, the final score really didn't do them justice. |

Was about to post the same thing I really want to see them beat Romania, it'd be a perfect end to their 1st world cup.

To be truthful, I kinda had a hope that we could beat the Italians, but the lack of experience cost us a few errors that we paid dearly. All hopes before the start of the World Cup was on winning the game against Romania. I hope they can do it, would be a nice close to a dignifed World Cup presence for our amateur team... but now I'm not so sure.
Anyway, it's still a great cup presence for us :). |

Heh-heh! Great show from Philips though, he managed to get off some phenomenal passes from the tackle that not only found their man but found space as well. I've been saying for years that Wales are the most underrated team in international rugby and I was proved right again last night. Disappointed in Japan's performance this world cup; they've never been any real threat to anyone but they usually put up more of a challenge than they have been.

yes, phillips had a great game, but we are still making too many basic mistakes, which could cost us a slot in the 1/4 finals if we're not careful |
