as long as we can keep it together against Fiji next weekend we'll be ok, but looks like another heart stopper
I thought Scotland did pretty well against the All Blacks considering the team they put out. SA match was good, they totally underestimated Tonga and almost got beaten. |

My commiserations to Portugal Rui, I really thought they were going to win against Romania the other night, yet again they put in a stirling performance and should be very proud of the way they have played. All credit to them, they have been an inspiration. |

Thanks Huw. I watched the game very attentively and it was indeed a very good performance. In the end, the greater physical strength of the Romanians was an advantage. For an amateur team, where 3 strong guys were out due to injury and suspension, those absences were noticed in the way they eventually caved in to the Romanian pressure. It was a bit like the other games, they did very well while they had strength to fight...
All in all it was a very inspiring performance. Hopefully it will have a great impact in the development of rugby here. Their performance sparked a lot of enthusiasm here (lots of new kids attending rugby schools) and hopefully there will be conditions for top players to become, at least, semi pro. All in all they showed they deserved to be there, almost everyone enjoyed seeing Portugal play and I think this world cup will be a major milestone in the development of rugby in Portugal . |

Yes I really hope so, I think that they should now consider scrapping the IRB 6 nations and open it up to all the European countries as the only way to improve is to play more matches at the top level. |

I'm all for that but if they do open it up, they'd need to scrap the European Cup for clubs, it'll just be too much rugby for the players.

Must admit that don't know much about european rugby competitions, except for the 6 nations tournament, I've watched some games in the past. You're right on the way to play improvement, you need to play at a high level to keep improving. |

well, if they played for 80 minutes instead of sleeping for the first 40 we might have won, plus the missed kicks and stupid mistakes, all in all a crap performance by a team who really should be able to do a lot better. All credit to Fiji though, they really punished them for their mistakes and deserved the win in the end. |

I didn't get to see the England match, was at Cardiff watching the ref hand the game to the French with some extremely poor decisions, the yellow card was totally wrong and the second French try was definitely a forward pass.
Good luck to England though, would have been nice to see them play the all blacks, but lets hope they give France a good pasting |
