Christ, this is the most screwed up World Cup ever! And it rocks! Anyone see Georgia on Tuesday? And Romania coming within pissing distance of beating Italy last night?
Portugal've announce their team for NZ, by the way, Rui.

They lost by less than 7, though.

Yup, bonus points in a 5 team group are a bit ridiculous, alright.

Problem with it is, say Argentina win all their matches with no bonus points, they finish the group with 16 points. If we also win all our matches, except for Argentina, of course, and manage to get bonus points from them all then we also finish the group with 16 points, which means we could win the group on points/try difference despite Argentina winning all their matches. Just doesn't seem fair to me. In larger leagues, it's not as big of a problem because everyone has ample opportunity to build up a decent stash of bonus points.
Welsh Team's just been announced, Huw.

I don't mind the bonus point for scoring more than 4 tries, since that encourages an open game, but a bonus point for losing ???? |

pretty much what I expected, although I'm a hook fan so would have preferred to see him in the start-line, but I still have my fingers crossed and my Wales shirt ready for saturday |

Finally come out of by post-Georgia sulk long enough to once again laugh at 36-0! Bwa-ha-ha-ha! Only 4 other teams have achieved the impressive feat of scoring no points in a world cup match:
- In 1995 South Africa defeated Canada 20-0 in their group match. - Also in a 1995 group match, Scotland defeated Ivory Coast 89-0. - In the 1999 group stages, Scotland beat Spain 48-0. - And, in the group matches of the last world cup, Australia destroyed Namibia 142-0.
So, it looks like England are in good company, then!
Fair play to Portugal, though, managing to hold their own against New Zealand for a good 10 minutes
Now, back to crying over the fact that the second most capped team in the history of international rugby failed to put away the Georgians
