put your domain and IP address in this test site, also your smtp domain from your adls provider:
http://www.dnsstuff.com/
It will do sevrel tests like revers dns lookup, all black lists...etc. |

Sorry. I appreciate everyones help with this but the terminology is getting slightly above my head. My domain as in the domain that points to my site? that would be www.wccf-uk.co.uk. Who's IP address would I be using? My Ip, Servers IP, Email IP?
If someone would like me to email all the details and take a look it would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks again lol
Gary... Would you like me to activate or delete your registration?? |

If BlueYonder (Telewest) is your ISP the address you should have in the email server config is smtp.blueyonder.co.uk or the i.p. address 195.188.53.60 You also have to edit inc_mail.asp to include your blueyonder email address and password as described here - http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=59133
Then add this as your spf record
"v=spf1 ip4:195.188.53.60 a mx ~all"
Yeah I'm using smtp.blueyonder.co.uk. I'm surprised it worked at all due to me entering any username or password. I'll have a look at that when I get in from work.
So I add the above spf record to inc_mail.asp. can I just paste it anywhere? On it's own new line anyway
And finally would this send mail that will have a blueyonder account or would I still be able to use the domain email address and get it forwarded all over? I think I'm trying to do this the hard way.. |

The main issue is whether 123-reg (or whoever hosts the dns for your domain) will add the spf record for you.
I emailed 123reg last night and had this reply this morning
Hi,
Thanks for your email,
You can setup SPF records on your domain via the "Modify Domain" and then "manage DNS" section of your 123-reg control panel.
