You can display an image by using the [img][/img] tags.

If you want to attach images to your posts by uploading them, take a look at the MODs available for this:
proeder's File Attachment Mod 1.0
Mike's File Attachment Mod for Snitz
MOD: Ben's File Attachment Mod

My MODs:
Birthdays - Custom Policy - F.A.Q. Administration - Forum Rules - Guestbook
Links Manager - MyOwnGoogle - Profile Views - Search Log - WebSearch

Useful stuff:
Forum and MOD Installation - MOD Installation Guide - Snitz v3.4.05 Readme - Free ASP Hosts - Support Snitz

This could work for what you wish. Might have to edit it a little, i'm not sure, i've never used it.

Do any of these file sharing MODs allow you to upload files to a server different from what the forum is being hosted on? I need to enable uploading of files, but have no room on my forums hosting....need to get it to my regular webhosting!

I dont think you can upload to another server, you'd have to host the upload script on that other server.

*IF* I'm correct about this....

if you're using SQL Server then I THINK you can, because I THINK you can connect to sql server from a remote location (meaning you could connect to your snitz sql database from an external php page to verify member info and stuff).... however, I'm not sure, dont quote me.

might be a stupid suggestion, but if its just images for a temporary solution why not advice your members to use any of these image's hosting:
http://tinypic.com/
http://www.imageshack.us/index.php
http://www.picgoo.com/
most keep images for 45-60 days, keep in mind that using such services might have security concerns for your forum and your members (Referre, cookies, privacy issues....etc)

sorry for posting off topic but Ben's topic is locked.
would you Da_Stimulator or
OneWayMule
be interested in developing attachments mod that has the same features as
Ben's mod using this script:

http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=7373&lngWId=4
it doesn't require any special components to be installed.
