HELP!!!!
I'm an ASP Newbie and need a mod to Snitz to do something as follows:
I want to make it so the user must put have a picture in the first post. Also I want the picture they put on to be uploaded to the server in a directory that is specifiable. I guess there would have to be some way to destingush the pictures, maybe check if a file with same name exists etc.
The reason behind the madness is a picture gallerey sort of thing. People from around the world post pictures of their town, and people can respond to them.

| There is no mod for something like that at the moment and it will take a bit for someone to sort out the code for it so you may want to consider other options if you need immediate results. |

One idea (as a temporary solution) is that you could moderate all posts in that particular forum. Those that don't have a picture attached to them you don't approve. If you've got some sort of PM mod installed, you can send the poster a message letting them know that they must attach a picture to their first post.
I don't know much about ASP, but I'll take a look at whether or not it's in my ability to do something like this... no guarantees, of course, but it may end up being a fun opportunity to learn more about the Snitz code. |
