Very nice, I really like it.
One thing I'd change is the red background color... either use a softer red, or anything else that fits, it makes the forum content hard to read when using a screen resolution of 1024x768 and above, looks nice in 800x600. But probably the best solution would be using % for the tables instead of a fixed width.
When I first browsed through the site, I had the feeling the font size is too small, but now it's actually something I really like about your forum. The forum icons on default.asp are great, they add something unique.
Well done, David, as I said above, I like it. |

Thanks so far for your comments OWM.. I think I may put one of the stripy type backgrounds to tone down the red to the right. Most of the users I get that use the site are using 800X600 resolution so they do not see the red.
Ryan, I have no idea why you could not get to it... It works all the time for me.

It worked for me, although it did seem rather slow. I think I have heard you say you were hosting this on your DSL line? I'd seriously consider getting it into a higher bandwidth enviroment. As for the design...I'd agree that the red background doesn't mix too well with the blue. The layout is nice and easy to use. You can quickly find what you are looking for. I like the little picture/avatar you have for easy category. It looks nice. |

I have now changed the red going all the way across on higher resolutions.quote: Originally posted by OneWayMule

But it is hard to work with red and since red is the main Classic color I need to keep it red.
By the way, did I mention that the forum is intergrated in to the rest of the site.

I think the orange you are using for your category background would suit your forum background better??

That is another application that requires 3 dll's to be installedquote: Originally posted by wii I like your photogallery - is that a MOD or did you get it some where else ?
I am not sure what you mean by this Faizan!quote: Originally posted by Faizan I think the orange you are using for your category background would suit your forum background better??
I am not using Orange except in a couple of text lines in the entire site.. I am using the "tomato" color on the "Category Background Color", but to change the rest would require a lot of extra time which I do not have.
Thanks for the comments guys.

Is it a photo gallery that the public has access to...or at least the code? I want to peak at it to see how it does a couple of things. Did you develop it? |

Thanks for the great comments Fiazan and again OWM.. I would appreciate some more comments from others as well. I feel it matches the rest of the site quite well.
Just made some icons to suit the site better as well. Still need to do some more icons, but the most of them work for me so far.

I do not understand why it is not working, as it works everytime for me. I also did a restart of the server yesterday to remove an application from it that was no longer used. Try it again. |
