Ok, I think things need to be lightened up a little bit so I thought I'd ask this question.
I play the piano, guitar, and bass guitar. I've been playing the bass consistently for about 3 1/2 years and I love it. I have a Yamaha 5 string bass. I wish I practiced more regularly than I do but I get to play it in my church every weekend. Here's a pic of my bass...

I don't have any music that I've written personally. I'm not a song-writer. At church, we play songs other people have written. People have asked those of us who play every week to produce a CD of the music we do. We may get around to that someday... until then, sorry, I don't have anything.
<edit>I've referenced "church" a couple of times. I'm not turning this into a religious thread. I'm just telling you the context in which I play my music. This added note isn't for the moderators, it's for those of you who might want to turn this into a religious thing. It's not and I'm sorry I even have to qualify this statement. Nevertheless, enjoy this musical discussion.</edit> |

I'll post pics of my instruments as soon as I get a digicam into my hands, they're not very special (Ibanez e-guitar, a Weggner acoustic guitar, a Hughes & Kettner amp and a Korg effects processor)
Let's have a Snitz jam session some time. I like to play all types of music... hard rock, classic rock, jazz (although I'm not a jazz musician... wish I were), alternative, etc.
In addition to my bass, I have a couple sythesizers and a Yamaha 12 string acoustic/electric. I also have a silver stratocaster (fender copy) I played when I was 15. It needs to be cleaned up and some new hardware. |

I gave up playing my saxaphone when I got to college. But I still love music. Now I prefer to dance. My wife and & I compete, perform and teach Lindy Hop (swing dancing). We've got a bunch of fun clips on our website, if you're bored sometime. I have a link to them in my signature. |

Played drums and electric guitar but play mostly acoustic these days. All of it totally amateur.
If you're brave and want to give my music a listen, click here. My version of Hawaiian slack key guitar titled Double Slack Swing.

Good idea, maybe we could release an album "The Snitz Sessions"...

I play the tabla, a pair of Indian drums used in North Indian Classical Music, usually accompanying the sitar.
I like it because it's very mathematical, and there is a whole language built up around it. Each sound/stroke on the drum is given a different vocal syllable, and by combining these different syllables you can make musical sentences and compositions. During my lessons, my teacher sometimes doesn't even play his drums, he justs recites the syllables to me, and I should know how to play them.

Tenor Saxaphone, I don't play much anymore but I still like it. I'd really like to learn how to play guitar or piano. I started taking piano lessons when I was little and now regret quiting. |

Guitar huh. I'm assumeing nobody here plays the Clarinet. I play the Bb, and Eb Clarinet, Been doing so for about 5 years. I started late, 4th grade, but I now play in one of the best marching bands in state! I'm playing an Eb for a state performance this tuesday, We'll get a Supirior this time for sure. I tried playing a guitar by ear, and you don't want to have been there, lol. I'm everything, Band Geek, Science Geek, and Computer Nerd. My life is so glamerous isn't it. well, I see I dragged this on, now to see if I kill this thread as well. LOL |
