Hallo,
I know that the possibility is good that this thread will be killed soon. Anyway, I will try hard, so it does not happen. I red a lot of books about the Vietnam War. Which makes sense, because I am living in countries which were affected by the Vietnam War. My wife is a victum of the Vietnam War, so another reason. I myself have experience in war (Bosnia), I was a SAR paramedic, and I saw a lot of things, which produces nightmares. Being a paramedic is hard, even in peacetimes, helping victums of car crashes and people with hard attacks.
Back to the thing I would like to say in this thread. I sad, I red a lot of books about the Vietnam War. I red a lot about the suffering of the MACV guys. I really seldom run across books, the VC wrote. Ok visit the Revulutionary Museum in Vietiane, you get some hinds, but first hand accounts of the VC (Vietcong) or the Pathet Lao are rare. Please, there are always two sides of a coin. The American Private, threatened to death by VC mortar, or the young Pathet Lao guy, fighting in a war he doesn't even understand. Convert this ideas to the situation today. There are American and Iraqi guys who are thretend to death, doing things which they hate. Maybe both sides have the idea to create an nice internet presents (after the war) to discuss the experience they had. Internet should bring people together, forums should unite, not seperate, Open Source should be good for everyone!
Thanks,
Chris
