We don't have the money. It's called deficit spending. We're going into DEBT to fight the war with Iraq. You can read it this way if you'd like, Bush is spending your future social security payments.
Eisenhower said it best. Having led the US in WW2, he understood the true cost of war to the American people. "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."
We may not hunger or suffer from the cold as we did in the past, but there are still children to educate, sick to care for, and families to house.

Alfred, although misspelling your name was a mistake, I think I have sufficient knowledge of your language, I'm also capable of reading across the lines and infer the psychology of the man I'm talking to. I've been around for about 40 years and you are not in a position to judge this IMO.
The questions were valid, they were not intended to be "impertinent", they were direct, without any kind of "insinuation" inside, nor were they intended to insult or start a flame-war. Perhaps you mis-interpreted them...
Similar questions could come from you, if somebody says something like "Don't speak like an old Republican"...
Please do read the link, or take a short walk on fresh air .

So I have to assume you still did not read, or understand, my answers?
Well, my son is 40 and even he does not always listen carefully enough. I can't really expect it from a stranger... |

Those of you that oppose the war, you offer no solutions. Why?
Those of you who criticize the United States, you have not Saddam or the Iraqi regime. Why?
Please answer and do not ignore like other questions have been.

No, I read and did understand them (I read all three posts to try to understand why there are so much). I'm just using my right "not to comment" on them...

Let UN do the work to Disarm.

The discussion is about "International War Opinion". USA has attacked Iraq. And thus there are posts in Support and Against the action. No one has posted to defend Saddam or Iraqi Regime. |

This was part of the dis-information they told to US citizens and UN...
Pictures don't lie... film doesn't lie... The reason so many things here get repeated is becaus you keep denying the truth my friend, simple facts that are known the world over.

You sent the same stuff 3 times. Actually they are not the same, but there must be a tec issue with your connection. Just check the previous page.
Perhaps it should read: "I read all three posts to understand why there are so many replies".

They kicked the UN out of Iraq and only allowed them back in when US Forces started a buildup in Kuwait. Also at the rate the disarming was going, Saddam's grandson would be ruling that country or maybe even many other innocent deaths from his weapons of mass destuction.

And yet, you put no blame on Saddam and his regime? It's a little disturbing that those that oppose the war, are not critical or have any blame towards Saddam.

I agree and when posed with a question that may be tough to answer, it goes unanswered. |

Yes, now I can understand you. At least the words, if not the logic. Surely you must have realized that this was a technical error. Would one of the mods please delete the superfluous two copies?
If you DID read it, and you DO believe you understand the meaning, and you still cannot grasp the basic truth of it - then I have to concede that my efforts are in vain. |

Freedom is earned, not bestowed. It is not something given out like US foreign aid. Each nation must stand on it's own two feet. How else can a country appreciate the freedoms it has without having paid the cost?
Would we as Americans appreciate the freedoms we enjoy if our ancestors hadn't fought for US independence from Britain?
