You should put the database (snitz_forums_2000.mdb by default) in a folder where you have read/write permission.

My MODs:
Birthdays - Custom Policy - F.A.Q. Administration - Forum Rules - Guestbook
Links Manager - MyOwnGoogle - Profile Views - Search Log - WebSearch

Do you have your forum in a Windows 98 computer? This needs to be changed in the computer where the forum is located. Windows 98 does not maintain a permissions list, so that problem should not be happening in a Windows 98 computer...

Make sure the DB had not the read only attribute set. What are you running as a server, PWS?

What server are you using to host the forum? To run a Web application you need a Web server, my question was which server are you using?

If it helps, maybe post what you type in your browser to execute setup.asp.

The info I get for the server on that address is Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.0. Jimster, I think you are confusing the OS on your computer with the OS on your server. That address you gave me, isn't it the address of a computer different from your own? I don't think you can run IIS 5.0 on a Windows 98 SE computer.
