I'm evaluating Snitz forums to replace an old home-grown BBS but have come up against a couple of stumbling blocks.

1) Is there a way to assign individual permissions to members to control which forums they can see?

2) Is there a way of using Snitz forums within a secure environment where all users are already logged in and object to logging in again (there's some complicated history here...)?

I've just spent the day configuring various aspects of the system and am generally very impressed, but these 2 requirements are unfortunately not negotiable.

1) Yes, forums can be configured to have an Auth Type of Allowed Member List (Hidden) so that users only on that list can see the forum.

2) With some work yes. Search the forums for login or authentication and you'll find tens of posts about using other login systems with the forum. As I said it will mean work. You'll need to know and change DB characteritsics and/or ASP code.
