I've just learned thru some friends that host several websites thru my ISP that all of their websites are down and that they weren't informing me of how big the problem was. It still doesn't explain my problem but leads me to believe that I'm going to have to wait for this problem to be fixed by others and that I need to let it be. I'm sorry for taking up everyone's time with this.

Well I hope your ISP gets things resolved then, sounds like maybe they haven't paid their Sprint Bill this month ! |

surfstev,
running the program Richard linked to will work as long as you point your TCPIP settings to your new dns server, you can then request a domain transfer from my namserver to yours, so you will have the correct settings |

I'm not really sure its a DNS issue, sounds more like a routing issue with his ISP, else updating the hosts file should have resolved it if it was DNS. |

It turns out the email going out had nothing to do with being able to get to my website. It's working and I just got a zillion emails and my website still didn't work from either my computer or my ISP's
One of the computer guys I know who was really busy suggested I trick my computer in to using another ISP's DNS so what I did was go into windows DNS configuration and put a dot in the enable DNS box and then put in the DNS numbers of a different ISP and even though I used my regular ISP's dial up it worked.
It doesn't make any sense to me or the owner of the ISP why this works or if it is even legal to do but it works and my website comes up just fine!

It works because your ISP's DNS server is not working. You shouldn't really use someone elses without permission.
If this solves your problem however, speak to your ISP and tell them. If you email me, I will give you the IP for my DNS servers, you can use those. |

It's funny that my ISP's DNS server works with every website except mine.
How about I wait a few days and see if the problem hasn't fixed it's self and if it doesn't I'll use yours? I'll just do a whois on you and put in those numbers unless there's a different one you want me to use. |

The other websites (that work) probably haven't had their DNS info changed recently. The IP Address for your site changed recently and the one that is on your ISP's DNS Server is no longer valid. For some reason your ISP's DNS Server is not being updated. |
