I think best way is to take a snapshot of the of the window (butoom part at least) and send it to one of the admins . |

Why don't you release 3.4 (when you think the time is right!) as a beta version. With a big quote Not to be used in a production environment. Only for testing. etc. and wait again for a few weeks or more before releasing the final version.
Maybe others find more little bugs if they can view the source. This way people who want to create a MOD can start and you'll get more space.

It cannot be released with a known security bug. Can't you see that?
Smaller bugs can be found by users...

why don't we give them a break?
it will be ready when its ready,
hounding them won't speed anything up. |

version 4 beta was released that way, and look how many sites that are live using it, we will release it when we are ready and not before.
You don't find bugs by looking at code, you find bugs by getting people to use it, what better way than to use you lot as guinee pigs. |

I agree, releasing as a beta with known bugs could end up tarnishing the reputation of the release, as it would no doubt end up on live forums. We've waited a long time for this release; another few days or weeks for a security related fix isn't going to matter - like goju says, let's give them a break and let them get on with it.
I know we are all excited about the new release, but I am happy to wait till this bug is ironed before I get it.
And as Huw points out, there maybe a few more bugs unearthed before release, you can never fully test software without unleashing users onto it, and that's why it's running here, to make sure the release version can be as stable as is humanly possible.

I'm in no hurry.. My forums run just fine... I know everyone else's forums are too.. Don't understand their hurry... Plus on top of it there are no MODS for 3.4 yet.

I can't believe so many have forgotten the recent hack attacks that ruined so many forums. No software should be released until it is known to be as secure as possible. Take this opportunity to enjoy the weekend!

Yes, therefore my statement "(when you think the time is right!)". What i'm saying is when developers have a fixed date to release it. Don't release it on this date for "production" but first as a "testing" version.
Prevents releasing little updates for the final version. Now you're relying on moderators for testing. maybe we can help to.
And I don't agree with the statement "You don't find bugs by looking at code". Look at all the post made here from guys looking at the html source.
So to recapture, I'm not in a hurry, You have all the time to release it, I'm talking at the moment you're releasing it. |

On this anniversary of Elvis' demise, why not take a leaf out of the record industry's marketing manual, and re-release all the old versions of Snitz Forums. Would make a nice compilation Zip File.
This would keep all the impatient "Snitzers" happy over the weekend whilst the rest of us wait patiently for the soon-to-be released, soon-to-be chart-topping, Snitz 3.4.

There isn't any code in the html source you can view, it is merely rendered output. |
