woow, this is super-fast.
I have searched for "and" both in "messages&cubject" from the date 200 to 2002, it finished very quickly.

Ok, I'm building sandbags around my position here ...
I am pretty sure most folks here are IE users, but here at work on our network all we have is NN 4.72.
The page is all out of sorts and the search locks up. Is this just a NN 4.xx version conflict or a NN issue all together.
I'll try to work on the HTML formatting of the page so it looks ok in my version of NN and post it here later. I know yours is just a test site, not trying to be too critical here ... just helping where I can.
Later,
Etymon

Yes I know, unfortunately NN and mozilla screw up the formatting, there is not html in the page, in fact there are no pages, so try what you may, it wouldn't make any difference.
I could make it work for NN, but to be frank it would look crap.

Wow, that`s really good. One thing. Instead of searching for the author, can we do a search by member like in the current search?

When I do a search "by Author" and enter there a name, only the topics are shown, that the entered user has started, but I`d like to do a search for the topics the user toop part in and "only" made a reply.

?
It does search by member. It's the post author, not the topic author.

It shows topics and replies by the author not just topics

Seems like I am doing something wrong. Only entering my username in "by Author" gives me eleven topics, that I started. Shouldn`t there be all, that aren`t in the archives?

I seem to know what happened: looks like after doing a search you cannot just click the back browser button and search again, changing the parameters. You need to use the New Search button. That seems to have fixed it.
