TimLA:
3.3.05 only fixes major security bugs. It does not address any bugs, verison 3.4 will do that (which will be out sometime this year).
So, you will need to apply the Hide Email patch to 3.3.05.
dgsmith:
This is a clean version of Snitz, so any MODs will need to be applied again.
This version just saves you time of tracking down 40+ bug reports and applying those to your site.

Hi Aaron,
I downloaded your latest update but when i compared it with the 3.3.05 release, some files are more recent than yours and some of your files are more recent than that release? Can you give me info on WHAT files to copy?
Thanks so much for the great effort.

Nathan is correct.
I have manually applied all the bug and security patches, and I have no idea which files are and are not newer than the 3.3.05 release.

How about Brinkster? Did you add the changes needed to run Snitz on Brinkster?
If I'm correct, the On Error Go To 0 can be in the files even if you're not using Brinkster, so it might be good to add that. Unless you can simply overwrite "your" files with the Brinkster files without losing any MODded files...

The ZIP has been updated to include the new pop_messengers security patch.
The only file affected by this update is pop_messengers.asp.

I tried to stay away from ISP specific fixes... sticking only to bugs and security patches.
If you have the link to the topic that discusses the changes, I will add them.

Hey, thanks for keeping up with this offer, Aaron!
One question: In the download link it states 3.3.xx ... are you referring to latest 3.3.xx release such as 3.3.05 or another?
Thanks again for the download!

It is version 3.3.03 with bug fixes applied and all the security patches (the same ones that made 3.3.04 and 3.3.05).

Aaron, I saw the "link" in this post for the "MySubs" email MOD and downloaded it. I am running the 3.4 version of Snitz and the MOD is for 3.3. Any problems running it on 3.4?
What I have been looking for is a MOD that will allow the members to email everyone by clicking on a link on the main Forum page. There has been talk of using a "list Serve", but I'd rather use the email capablitiy in the Forum. The Forum we have set up has about 100 users, and they all want to be updated as things occur. It is a private forum and under strict control. So there will be no spamming.
Do you have any ideas on how to create a "Global" emailer system in Snitz for a restricted forum? Oh, I already have the ADMIN_Email_Subs MOD and it works great, but it only works for Administrators.
Thanks

Yes... just do not copy the MDB that comes with it over yours.
BTW: Just added the file to include another bug.

No, the Hide Email MOD is not in this version.
What is in this version is the Hide Email bug fix.
You should not apply the Hide Email MOD to this because it would be kinda funky.
The Hide Email Bug fix hides all instances of a person's email address. It allows you to send email to a user by clicking "Send Email to this User" (or something like that).
The Hide Email MOD allows a user to hide his email address... BUT the user can't receive email if they choose this. If they choose not to hide their email address then it is open for anyone to see.
The first one is the best solution IMHO. You allow the user to receive email but you don't compromise their privacy.

I've been looking for this solution for V4b03.x (thus V3.3.x) forum that I have and I have looked through your bug fix files but couldn't figure out which one(s) is to have this particular feature fix/plugged in...If I understand correctly, this "hide email" bug fix allows to maintain Members link in inc_top.asp but when clicked it will show member table with nicknames, etc. but email address will be invisible/hidden. This is basically what I need as I am not looking for hiding/removing members link in/from inc_top.asp not disabling access to members list/table, but want to hide all emails for non-registered/non-logged in visitors. Am assuming that this will also hide email address from Profile for others to view?
Which file(s) from your bug fix pack here contains this feature fix? (I have downloaded the pack already...)? Thanks for your help in advance.
I have solved this problem....not exactly the same as mentioned above, but reviewed how it is done with members.asp in V3.4.03 and modified members.asp with little tweaking for V4b03.x compatibility.... It seems working fine. Now a member list is visible only for logged in/registered member. Thanks for your attention.
