hi Aaron. thx for your great work. i have one question:
I have version 3.03 final, with database already started I give beyond a year. I have not still installed no mod, I can upload all the files except the config.asp or must upload also this and re-type the path of the DB?
tnx
Yes. Assuming you have made no changes to the code itself... then you should be able to copy over the files and everything will work great (always make a backup before doing anything major though).

Hi.
The hide email mod in this version is the one that you have the option on the register page to check "hide email"? Or you don't have that option with this mod? I've been looking all over for the one where you give ppl the choice to show or not.
Thanx

No, the Hide Email MOD is not in this version.
What is in this version is the Hide Email bug fix.
You should not apply the Hide Email MOD to this because it would be kinda funky.
The Hide Email Bug fix hides all instances of a person's email address. It allows you to send email to a user by clicking "Send Email to this User" (or something like that).
The Hide Email MOD allows a user to hide his email address... BUT the user can't receive email if they choose this. If they choose not to hide their email address then it is open for anyone to see.
The first one is the best solution IMHO. You allow the user to receive email but you don't compromise their privacy.

Ok, thanx!
But do you know where I can get that other one? I think that sometimes ppl just don't want to be emailed... They wanna join the discussion but that's that. And another point, it's gonna be hard to explain to newbies(the case of my forum users) that someone is sending him/her an email but doesn't know his/her actuall address. See my point? What do you think?

The ZIP has been updated to include a recent security patch to post.asp and post_info.asp.
Additionally, it includes a few more minor bugs that I found out about (incorrect HTML, etc.).

The ZIP has been updated to fix a small bug in inc_top.asp. This is not a critical update.

So, I just installed v3.3.05 this weekend. Which version is more current. .05 or this clean zip package?
Does v3.3.05 have the Email bug fix installed?
Thanks,

I would also like to know the answer to this having installed Snitz Forum last week, do I need to add these what look like very handy mods or are they already in-corperated, because I have applied 1 mod already (active users) and don't want to apply more if I will have to re-apply them after adding this patch.
Thanks in advance for your help
David
