Please be aware that there is a new email virus hitting the United States and Europe at this time 10/25/02. If you receive an email that contains the word "E-Card" in the subject line, just delete it. If you open it and accept the URL a virus program will be downloaded that will go into your Outlook folder and start sending emails to all of your contacts. Symantec and McAffee are already on board with this problem. |

You have to agree to the EULA to install the software, and it plainly states the program will open your Address book and email to everyone in it
I kind of enjoy this one, a virus with a EULA

I once heard of a Polish manual virus. It was something like: "Please delete such and such..." |

This isn't really a virus though, as others have said you need to agree to allow it to function. |

I had Norton some time back and it was "fully up to dated" also, and when this _klez worm decided to enter my p.c., Norton decided not to see it along with a couple other worms, turns out I ended up with 432 different strains of these few viruses, which in turn wiped out my system and rendered my hard drives useless, so I turned to a company called pc-cillin, best thing I ever did. and recently I had an update for my Zone Alarm show up on the screen , I accepted (unaware that this was a new virus) and it wiped out my system also. There is no real safety out there, and back doors are plenty. |
