any idea for working on a MERGE TOPICS mod?  it would be great for those duplicate threads that sometimes come about.

The merge mod is great if you just want to merge archives. You can merge all your forums archives together and have one forum thats 'just archives'.

Kal, what database are you on?
I used the * only in "DELETE * FROM" statments, and I know NOW that it causes problems with some databases. The only thing that would have failed would have been cleaning up some subs that are no longer needed (because the user was subscribed to both forums and they don't need two subscriptions) I think you can actually select '* ' and replace with ''

no that's not what I was thinking... say for example there are 2 threads that are discussing the same thing. instead of bouncing between the 2 threads or closing one and referring to the other, it would be nice to merge the 2.

I know. . . I know what you mean about the merge topics thing. . . its on my list, there are several mods above it though.
