A friend is looking for a free blog service and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I would be interested in knowing about an online service and possibly an asp script that can be installed. Thanks!< |

You could always use blogger - but I would use my own domain name just to make it easier to move to a different service if you decide to later.
I've been looking for the same, and while I've come across a few that look promising, I've come to the conclusion that I just need to roll my own. I've seen a few examples of people (like oxle.com) who have modded the forum to act like a blog. When you think about it, the underlying principle is the same, the display is a little different. I'll probably just mod a Snitz forum to fit my needs.< |

I second that with Anon.
The idea being that you can allow comments from forum members while also offering a forum community for your forum members.
I'll be modding my own forum at www.LawRunFarms.com to include a blog based off of the forums. I don't have that site set up for a forum community though, so the blog probably won't entail a comments option.< |

You may have seen this one at aspin. I dont't use a blog but I awhile back I was looking through the free asp based blogs out there and this one stuck out to me. I downloaded it for a test run. It's pretty nice and the code is easy to understand with lots of commenting.
