m_r, I'm really trying to understand your question, but it doesn't seem to make any sense. Can you please try to make it more clear.< |

Sending a message to members it is easy, all you need is the Newletter Module up and running
...and visitors... How can you send an email to a visitor, they will never enter the email address!!
to the site to the Director. bad English here so I can't understand right.
To the site... the standard module let any user/visitor to send an email directly to the email that is in the Administration settings, so nothing new here, the forum already does this.
To the Director... and who's that might be? a different email than the one in the Administration settings?
if you have a webmaster@domain.com in the admin settings and you want to send a copy of every email as well to director@domain.com all you need to do is edit the inc_mail.asp file and add a CC (Carbon Copy) of the email to a specified user, check the component that you are using and edit that component send mail function.
is that it?< |

then, copy / past the pop_mail.asp change the FORM action and copy / paste the inc_mail.asp and hard code the email in TO.
can you do this or you want help with the code? (if yes, please tell us what mail component are you using)< |

I understand your question better now. I think you want to use the standard forum code (as seen in the image) and make it so that visitors and members can contact the Director.
Try this first before looking for a modification.
Make sure you do not have "Require login for sending mail" set to "On".
To change it to "Off", go to your Admin Section or Admin Home and then go to "Email Server Configuration" and then look for "Require Logon for sending Mail". Choose "Off" and then hit submit. Try it out and see if that is what you want.
If the Director has a different e-mail than the strSender value in the FORUM_CONFIG_NEW table, then you will have to make a modification to make the different e-mail work for you.< |
