                      | I have installed this Mod and everything seems to be working fine -- butwhen I try to add an event I get "Events are not allowed in this forum." The drop down box for adding an event is not populated. Can anyone help with this? Am I missing something simple? <

Create a forum for posting envents and get his number_ID
Edit your cal_config.asp and find the lines :

' FORUM_ID where you want to post events
' You can enter more than one value (separate with commas)
 ' e.g. arrCalForumID = Array(1, 2, 5, 10)

 arrCalForumID = Array(1)
Just modify the line above putting the Number_Id after the 'Array'
 It should be ok

 I see no birthdays...
Set to TRUE in Cal config.
 What am I missing??? :)

Anybody know? Why was there a birthday icon and true false in the config?

 Still wondering...

I'm wondering about this as well. I just added this MOD to my forum (great job, btw), but it's not showing any of the birthdays. I've tried going throught the cal_functions.asp to see if I could find something, but I didn't see anything. Why isn't the calendar pulling birthdays from the db?<

                      | Hi,
I have just installed this mod and it is great.
However is there a way the calender/events can be displayed on the default page as I have seen other sites presented like that??
 Fixed

 Cheers

                      | Is red1 still around at all? I'm trying to figure out how to get the birthdays to display properly on this MOD, but don't know enough about accessing the database to try and write the code myself.< |

                      | I have read the entire 18 pages and I am a complete newbie to .ASP I would like to add the Events Calander MOD to my forum but still have a few questions I need answered before I try, because even after hours of reading I'm not sure what I have read completely and want to be sure before I even try to tackel this project. Sorry for this... But here goes...

 1. Will this MOD work with Snitz 3.04.05 using MYSql DB?

 2. Is the version on snitzbitz.com the most current version
and is that the one I need to download.

 3. Is the read me file complete for all users or will there be
additional changes I have to make according to the snitz
version and DB I am using?

 4. I have only installed two other MODS - Mikes file attachment
and Onewaymule's B-day MOD - Will these two MODS make any of the
instructions different or do I just follow the read me file exact?

 5. Will the Event Calendar MOD work fine with these two MODS
 I have already installed?

 6. AND on snitzbitz.com there are SEVERAL downloads for the calendar
and a couple add-ons... What items exactly do I need to download
 and install?

Thank You for your answers in advance!!!

                      | can someone please tell me what are the exact differences between the recurring and the non recurring version of this mod?
i mean, i need non recurring events for my purpose, but i'd like to add also the recurring one to manage birthdays if it possible...(i have no birthdates mod installed)but only if the 2 types of event are differently managed and not toghether in the same calendar (the non-recurring showing in the calendar and the birthdays at the bottom of default.asp for instance)

 thanks for help!<

                      | guys please stop posting in this topic so it can get archived. it will just confuse new users if they think that they have to read through all these pages to use the mod. If you need help with the calendar just post a new topic in the mod implementation forum.< |

I finally figured out that this was a browser-specific problem. I kept testing and testing on IE and never found this, but only after using Mozilla did I manage to recreate this error. Just remove cLng from line 1383 like this and it should work fine:

If arrRqCalForumID = ForumForumID then strOptions = strOptions & " selected"

Now can we please leave this topic to die now please. I have an update on the mod coming up in a few days. I'm just polishing some stuff in the readme before I release it.<
