Well, you might just be...THE MAN, who could do this!
I´m sure if you do a good job, your alterations of default SNitz files, would be taken in consideration for next official Snitz code...but please contact Reinsnitz and co before you put in too many hours, so that the alterations you make won´t be incompatible with next SR

u hear me Reinsnitz, Gor and more...take SniffinGlue in consideration for next SR if this succeeds!

The man, well, let us see if I can pull it off first. I beleive I might have a way around the inserting of text, but I am not sure if it will work. We will have to wait and see.

Okay, I just found this post, but this concept is very important to alot of the things I want to do. I want to know how long before we have this?
Personally, I think the whole security system of Snitz could be made so much simpler. What is needed is a security function. Pass in the object the user is trying to access, and the username, and a couple other related things, and get back True of False.
The check as you go method of security presents problems. However, a check_security(requestedObject, username) function would do alot. In the case of user groups, adding a user group would be a matter of tweaking this security function...not rewriting the entire application.
