I use one snitz forum updated to the latest version: also by setting the variable "Allows Moderation" I do not get any results, standard users can create new topics that are published without any limitation. What I want to achieve is to block the publication of new topics, but leave the option to post replies. thanks for attention
You need to setup the moderation options at each level.
so 1. In admin options, Feature configuration enable 'Allow Topic Moderation' 2. edit the Category properties and set 'Moderation Allowed in this category' 3. Edit the forum properties and set the moderation level to 'Original Posts ONLY Moderated'
You will need to do this for each category/forum in which you want to enable moderation
