For the first time, I had to ban a member today. I need to ask a question regarding the IP banning. I don't fully understand the IP "range" feature. I have now had to ban the third IP address for this member who is in Jamaica. How could I possibly use the "range" feature to take care of this member before I use up the limited amount of IP addresses I'm allowed to ban? Or, is that even possible?

Using Davio's mod? I made one also, but don't think I ever shared it.

My version uses another mod (IPtoCountry) along with it for several functions. Administrators can ban IP addresses, IP ranges, and/or entire countries. If an IP address or range is submitted which is already banned within another range or by country, it will report such and not add it. Further, if the IP address/range submitted would result in banning your own connection, it will not add it.

I haven't packaged it for distribution, but I'll do so today sometime.

Edit: It's up on SnitzBitz, I hope I didn't leave anything out. It has been a while since I wrote this.

Thank you!

I'll need to start with the "IP to Country" mod.

You have members from Jamaica on your forum? Cool. Or maybe, not so cool considering the situation.

Carefree, I finished installing your "Ban IPs by IP, Range, or Country" mod and it's INCREDIBLE!

I would think it, combined with the "IP to Country" mod, really took some time to author. LOVE your work!

Thank you SO MUCH!

The ban mod wasn't so time consuming, but the IPtoCountry mod took a LOOOONNNNNNGGGGG time. 115000+ lines in the database table does take a bit of typing and coding to complete.
