I am having to approve all of the photos uploaded for the Photo Album. I have the options set to "Force Administrator approval of all photos" but that's not working.
Any thoughts on how to correct this?

Think about that ... if you force admin approval, you're forcing yourself to approve them. It's not automatic approval. |

Would it be a lot of coding to prevent members from viewing photos uploaded by members they are not friends with?
And/or allow members to select, when uploading photos, if their photos can be viewed by everyone or just their friends?
I say this because some members do photography as a hobby and would love for everyone to be able to view their uploaded photos. However; there are some members who like to keep things very private.

Could it cause a problem with this mod for a member to have blank spaces in her username?
I uploaded photos for three members without any problems but this fourth member has spaces in her username and I am receiving the following error and was wondering if the spaces could cause this error in photo_album_upload.asp? The site was frozen for about 20 minutes, after clicking to upload photos on her account, and then I received this error. I've tried uploading on her account four separate times and each time I receive this error message after the site freezes for about 20 minutes. I've made sure she's been added and has a photo album for her account and just can't think of what else it might be that's causing this.

Script timed out
The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.

I solved the blank space issue some time ago. There are a few files which have to be edited, especially "tofilesystem.asp" and "photo_album_upload.asp". If you're using the stock version, I can simply send you the ones I changed. |

Yes, I merely installed the original "Photo Album" mod and then installed the "Photo Gallery" mod so, hopefully, that's what you're referring to, Carefree.
Thank you!

Isn't there an add-on mod for the Photo Album that allows members to comment on each other's photos? I sure thought I saw one but can't seem to find it now.

I found and did the add-on mod to allow comments but that's not working. There is simply no area for comments.
I also did the add-on mod to display the 20 latest uploaded photos but that's not working either.
And, of course, there continues to be the problem with the spaces in the usernames.
I'm using MySQL. Any help will be so greatly appreciated!

Carefree, can you send these files? I think I need to redo this entire mod!

I'll have to compare my copies to the original version of the mod to ensure that I don't include another mod I've made. I'll try and do it sometime this weekend. |
