I have disabled "Restrict Registration" and yet I am still being asked to approve new members. Can anyone help ?

I think you also need to enable "prohibit new members" in the Main Forum Configuration.

No, Tex, that's not where he's going with this. Delboy, you need to set up your Email configuration so that the members are automatically approved when they click the Email verification.

I can't see where you do that that. According to the help file it is automatically approved if "Restrict registration" is disabled which is what I have done. I have made a snapshot of my email config which can be viewed here http://www.catalyst-projects.com/temp/snitz.htm

With e-mail validation turned on, they will show up as pending members until they validate their e-mail. You can optionally approve them, but you shouldn't need to unless the registration e-mail got caught in their spam filter or something.
