Hi Brent,

Very nice mod... thanks for sharing it!

Just a couple of things --

I tried to login as Admin and it gave me this error:
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Operation must use an updateable query.

/Portal/Forum/inc_functions.asp, line 644

Also, when I click on this link: NEW! Testing Related Forum Topic

I get this error:
Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e09'

Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

/Portal/redirect.asp, line 20

I'm curious, about a lot of things, but rather than pepper you with questions, I'd like to have a look around some more...

Great job and Cheers!

Rob

SOrry .... guess I should have read the whole thread more thoroughly...

Working now. Very, very sorry.

Even great MODs are susceptable to stupid mistakes by their creators!

Please let me know what you think!

Not working?? Fixed! Thank you Alex

Incase you were just asking what it is (what do you mean by ??? )...
When you visit a link outside of the site and the link is displayed in the bottom frame some users find that annoying so they can remove the top frame...

Brent Trevel,

Keep up the good work - yes remove the frames, many users would like the freedom of manipulating the content around on their site and implement it in many different versions. Maybe u should also d/l eernstbmi´s content management mod and try to integrate/modify it to work with your VERY COOL mod. later on when u are close to finishing up, u should offer 2 zips. One that is only this separate mod and one that includes a complete Snitz forum with a large selection of mods. - would be cool eh? - the Snitz community would be responsible for one of the first complete ASP portalsystems, that the PHP people enjoy so much.

Also - could we get rid of the INC_TOP for the article system? - visitors shouldn´t necessarily be members to view the articles and not be bothered with the "please login" bugger.

Well - have fun coding!

"could we get rid of the INC_TOP for the article system..." and only for the article system, still need to be a community.

take a look at www.iamviet.com for inspiration. it includes polls and content MS, events calendar, classifieds and the very important search.

kool - eh?

Morpheus73,

When I get my demo site up and running you will be able to see this MOD used in exactly that manner. It will be running on a site using the snitz forum with many mods that are being used throughout the site, instead of just in the forums. Very similar to what Alan has done with his site at http://www.iamviet.com. And yes I will be using some form of a content mod, eernstbmi´s or the slash mod to display the site 'news' and good posts. I am however waiting for the newest Forum version to be released so that I don't have to install all my MODS all over again when it comes out. I should have some form of demo (based on HuwR's forum code, or EastPasco.com's code) up by sunday though...

I just wanted to release this 'Snitzy' version so that people could have a look and maybe give some feedback and assistance with the coding.

So, send me your ideas in an E-Mail and I will definitely look into adding them to the next release (I'll even do 2 seperate ones, one with a full forum and one without! )

I hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Brent Trevel,
Combat Intelligence
