Thanks guys, it's working now. I was using the outgoing stmp server name my hosting service provided for use in POP3 mail applications like MS Outlook, never suspecting there would (or could) be a separate server name for use with ASP apps. Of course, without this dialogue I wouldn't have known how to enter my username and password in the inc_mail.asp file, and I certainly would not have known what to ask the folks at GoDaddy. Thanks so much.
One last thing, I noticed it takes almost a full minute or two for the send mail window to change indicating an email message has been sent. Can you think of any reason why it would be so slow? I clicked it a number of times (resulting in multiple emails) because I didn't think it was working. I'm sure others will try the same thing, and I'd like to avoid people getting repeat messages. Is there some setting I can play around with?< |
