Installed this Mod: Mikes File Attachment, and attachments will not load. Any ideas what happened? You can demo and see the error here when you try to load the attachment... http://www.forumdotcom.com/forum Username=Test and Password=Test
Thanks,

As the error suggests, you do not have the necessary permissions to upload to the directory; you need to assign "write" permissions to it for the IUSR account (or get your host to do it).

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

How does one assign "write" permissions within the acct/host (godaddy.com) ?
Thanks. |

You'd need to check that with them or get them to do it for you.

You can do it yourself...
Hosting & Servers > My Hosting Accounts > Manage Account > Content > File Manager
Then check off the folder you want to change and click permissions.
They don't make it easy to find. |

I really appreciate it bobby131313, A genious you are! I tried to reset my forum to allow images and ran another test but it still seems like it might be the forum admin setting somewhere. Not sure but I double checked my settings and could not find the script error. Funny thing here how one prob can set you back on writing a forum . Sending you and Shaggy a complimentary ebook from my newspaper advertising days. A bit outdated but worthy info. Hope you agree... It's going via email...

If I recall properly, Mike's file attachment mod doesn't insert an uploaded image in to the post, it just provides the link to the uploaded file.

That is correct Shaggy.
However that wasn't even happening on MKTR's forum. Nothing was showing up in the post box at all. I got the link I posted from the filename at the bottom of the "Successfully Received" window before I closed it, just to make sure the actual upload was working properly. |

That makes sense, FEW! Game set, match over, we win! Nice! Nice! I will get back to building the forum thread topics then. I will stop by throughout the week and look for help topics to contribute to and assist others. Have a good day.
