I've been made the administrator on my work intranet forum. I am some technical experience, but wasn't involved with any of the initial set up of the forum.
There's a couple of things I need help with:
1. Is there any way of making a forum/category only accessible to a select group of people?
2. I can't get MOD Setup to work - I get the following message: Only the Forum Admin can access this page.
As far as I'm aware I am the Forum Admin and have the highlest level of access.
can someone also clarify for me what MOD are - sorry to sound so stupid! As far as I understand MOD is short for Moderator - please can someone confirm this.
Can someone also recommend a good code of practice site for running forums?
Thanks for your time

01. Yes, enable private forums in your admin options then edit each forum you wish to restrict access to and set the realevant access level using the "Authorisation" combo.

02. The highest level of access in Snitz is actually superadmin, only they can access the mod setup. If you are the only admin on the forums, you can make yourself the superadmin by editing config.asp, finding where the intAdminMemberID contstant is set and changing its value to your own MEMBER_ID. If you're not the only admin, you may want to check to make sure nobody else is the superadmin.

03. Mods are code modifications that enhance or add to the functionality of your forums. You'll find them in the Mod W/Code forum here or over at Snitz Bitz.
