Cab you guys recommend a nice looking image gallery that's written in ASP and has upload feature. Pure asp upload is fine. I also have sa fileup upload component and also have aspimage component. Can you guys recommend a ncie looking image gallery than with a little work can perhaps be edited to work with snitz header and footer stuff? Thanks. |

Sorry, I don't have any recommendations for you at the moment. I am currently in the same market. I'm trying to merge several available mods together, but it has been slow going for me, and I am not sure what I will come up with. LOL!
Good luck!

what do you want the gallery to be able to do ? I've been looking for a gallery too, but my goal with it is to make an online portfolio for my own photograps, with EXIF info in it, albums, comments per picture and rating per picture. So, my requirement does not include multiple users etc.
To be honoust I don't think there are that many ASP galleries left nowadays by the way.....the ones I've found were all PHP.... |

For an online portfolio, have a look at JAlbum. You keep all your photos on the computer, and create the online presentation there too. Then you just post the presentation to whatever URL you wish. Looks good, is highly customizable and seems to have an interesting community support. |

A classic asp application ($97) image gallery is: http://www.xigla.com/absoluteig/index.htm
I'm using it here: www.eaglecapowners.com/campergallery/gallery.asp
Does this let you approve images before they are displayed to the public? The problem is with my members is that if I cannot see who uploaded what image, you'll get someone who uploads "inappropiate" images. So yeah, I need uploading capability that'll hold the image for approval. That gallery looks good. Marcel, basicallyn I need upload feature. display the image as a thumbnail gallery and the when clicked take you to it but need the gallery to someone atach the member's name to the file name or someway of identifying who uploaded what due to the reason mentioned above. With of course the ability to delete images. I took a look at JAlbum but while it's geat for my own stuff, I need it so that everyone in my site can upload images to it and have it updae on it's own. |

Yes. Uploaded files can be held for approval (I haven't used that feature yet so can't elaborate). Uploading can be turned on/off by category too. And it will let the admin put in html. It's pretty good software. email me and I'll send you the pdf admin install/user manual.

I take that back, I do remember playing with an ASP gallery a while back.
I-Gallery
There are two versions, and the newest one isn't free, but the older one is.

I'm using them on the Jesus Joshua site right now. The only thing I don't like is that they don't support multiple galleries.... I kinda fudged it by making a flash slide show with all the photos and using that instead of the images. It works, just not very dial-up friendly...
I looked at that i-Gallery a while back, can't remember why I didn't use them... I may look at them again now that I've been reminded of them. |
