Brinkster's servers have indeed changed their configuration over the years, though they always had some weird workings... Free reliable hosting is hard to find these days, but cheap and reliable hosting alternatives aren't. |

Does snitz use a cookie path? something like Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_URL") ?
i found out that brinkster requires hard coded the path in order to solve the problem I was having, but I cannot find where can a cookie path line might be.
ideas? |

yes snitz uses a cookie path, that is what the admin option, set cookie to forum/website does.

Can you please let me know where do I change the exact path? instead of using an automatic way to get the path I need to hard code it so that brinkster works well. |

hardcoding it won't make any difference, cookie paths are not actual paths like Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_URL") would be, they are relative paths to your website, the admin options either set the path to strCookieUrl (set in config.asp) if using set cookie to forum, or they don't set a path at all when using set cookie to website, so I would suggest that you first check your admin options and if it is set to forum, change it to website. |
