Hi everyone.

I've recently begun trying to install Snitz onto our local company intranet for a couple of techs to keep track of things. I've been trying to set up a forum for Alerts, where whenever a new topic was created the memebers with subscriptions would get e-mails about a new topic being created but NOT when a posts were added to topics.

Is this possible in Snitz? Do I have explain myself better, I might not be clear in my intent.

Yes, it's possible. Here is how to configure subscriptions:

Thank you for your quick response ruirib, but the problem is that whenever someone adds a post to a topic a notification is sent. I'd rather have it so that only new topics get an e-mail sent, not on new posts in old topics.

That's not possible without changes to the base code. I have not tested it, but if you comment line# 1125, post_info.asp:

ProcessSubscriptions rs("MEMBER_ID"), Cat_ID, Forum_ID, Topic_ID, Moderation

and set the subscription level to Subscribe to Whole Board, you should get what you want.

Ah. That works out perfectly ruirib. I was trying to accomplish this with the 'inc_subscription.asp' file, figuring that it would not notify on reply, but I could get it right.

Thank you very much!

I watched the tutorial but my problem is that I don't even get the choice about subscriptions. I am running the latest version of Snitz.
