I have a user who is having trouble posting and replying using Internet Explorer 7. I don't think that this is a bug but rather something I am overlooking or can not see since I do not use that browser just yet (have had trouble with it before). I've tested for the problem in both Internet Explorer 6 SP2 and Firefox 2.0.0.4 and can not reproduce it. If I could see it, then I could figure something out better.
I don't know what could cause the error. Perhaps someone has had experience with it. Here is the report:
I can not post a New Topic or reply to a post using the Format Mode: prompt. If I set Format Mode to prompt and then click on the URL or IMG icon the page refreshes deleting all typed text in the reply box.

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

testing a reply with Format:prompt
what about a url link
seems to work fine here, the 'prompt' mode uses javascript, therfore ther is no form posting involved, so nothing should get refreshed at all. (I am using IE 7) |

It's probably something I did while I was working with something else. But I'm also thinking like Huw says ... so it is a tease to me as to what the issue might be. |

Those two options seem to be acting like a Submit button for him. |

Lower case "s" for the password, Huw (I did the same).
Can't recreate the problem here, Ety'.

Yes. It is as Shaggy noticed with the lower case. Sorry about that.
The conversation I had on this topic with the fellow wasn't too long. Here is part of his original report:
I was trying to post the link as a word phrase. It would not allow me to do so. I set Format Mode: to prompt and clicked on the URL icon to get the form for inserting word phrase instead of the form apearing the page will refresh/reload and the Format Mode: reverts back to basic and all typed text in the body is deleted. I just tried it in this reply and it did as I just described above. Browser is set to allow popups.
I noticed that I had a double line for the Basic prompt. I remedied that. I haven't heard again about resetting back to basic. I should ask again. |

Well, you guys are right. There is a admin/moderator who watches new registrations like a hawk. He's online right now. I guess he didn't like the first name and last name and deleted the account.
Try this:

Confirmed. He said he deleted it. Would anyone mind trying again? |
