I recently uploaded the newest version of the Snitz forum to my site.
When you register (and when you update your profile), the information you enter is stored in the database. When you hit the submit button (on pop_profile.asp), it takes you to the page saying everything went fine.
Then...
Instead of redirecting you to the forum homepage (default.asp), it gives the error "There Was A Problem With Your Details".
Only there is no problem... everything is saved.
Where is this glitch coming from?
My site - www.whyilovechicago.com/forum/ (not fully ready to go live, but this glitch is holding me up) |

I set up a test account (U:programcheck, PWD:programcheck, not a valid e-mail though) and it seemed to go through fine... If you activate the account we can use it to check updating a profile as well. |

When a member is logged and if you have an option in the drop down menu for them to edit their profile ... in Internet Explorer, the error you are mentioning will be a result ... in Firefox, there will be no error. It has to do with the way that browser recognizes link regarding the javascript. |

AnonJr - I have activated that account.
Etymon - I'm not sure I understand your post. I have tested this in FireFox and IE6 - both got the same error.
I turned off the "Gender" option (a drop-down box) in user profiles, and this error went away. When I added it back again, no error. Somehow that fixed my problem...
Anyways, thanks for taking the time to look and help me out! |

I logged in and was able to edit the profile without issue in Fx2 and IE7... when I registered I used Fire Fox 2 on a different computer. |

Weird... this issue only happens on my one computer. I wonder if it's an internet setting on this machine, as I'm seeing the problem again.
I'm going to look more into it, and hopefully I'll find the answer.
Thanks, |
