Excuse for my english, i am italian and i dont' know the english language very good.
I have a problem, i have "Snitz Forums 2000 Version 3.1 SR4" and when i CLOSE the FORUM really dont' close the forum....
Is too possible send message to forum, why?
I find the section where write the correction to this bug, but i don't sure is really a bug. In the Post.asp, where is write:

"case "Reply"
if (strNoCookies = 1) or (strDBNTUserName = "") ........
end if
"
I'll put the check for the forum close.

You have other soluctions?

Thanks a lot!!

If I understand right Fabio, you want to check if the browser has been closed (or navigated away from the forum). This isn't possible in server-side script

I hope this helps

No.
The users can still write in the forum, also when the forum is closed.

This is the problem or bug.

Have you made any modifications to your code. Because if you have turned off the forum or I am gussing you mean you closed your forum? If so no one should be able to get to it. Give us a link to your site so we can take a look and also if you get any error codes?

Or is this an issue related to it being such an old version (3.1 SR4)? I don't think I've seen that problem with the 3.4.x codebase....

How do you close the forum? 3.1SR4 does not have the same features as 3.3.x or 3.4.x.
