When I try to create a new forum, I get the following error - everything is fine with the testing forum, just a problem creating a new forum. I've created a new category OK, just trying to create a forum in that category so I can delete the testing forum and go live with it. Any ideas?

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'
Field 'FORUM_FORUM.F_L_ARCHIVE' cannot be a zero-length string.

have you done anything odd with your database ? was it created using some sort of migration from another db or did you allow Snitz to create the tables ? since by default that column should be set to allow zero length strings

No - I didn't touch the database. The forum is up and running (the default testing forum. All I did was to add a new category, and try to add a forum to that category before I delete the testing forum. Everything else was fine up to now. I've also noticed that I can only see the new category when I log in as administrator.
