Hello guys I got a few emails from members who noticed that the count on how many post they made is stuck on the same number. What or where do I look for the problem?
I am running the latest version of the forum and I am referring to the country and count under their name on each post. Thank you in advance. |

Is the forum they are posting in set to increment post counts?

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

do you have a link and maybe a test account where we can take a look ?
does this problem exist for all members, or just some members ? |

Just some from what I can tell. I can set up an account for you with a password if you like? I believe there is one already there for Davio but I need to check.
Huw I sent you an email with the username and password. If you check out the 1:24th board look at http://www.jsssoftware.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4498 you will see the post didn't increment up.
Hey wait; they didn't update on this board for me either???? |

Post counts don't go up when you edit the post to add new info... |

I don't see anything wrong, I created a topic which made the post Count 3, I then replied to it and the post count incremented to 4, it may be just a lack of understanding, postcount is a "LIVE" number so each time you post the number of posts displayed under your name in EVERY post will go up, old posts do NOT display your old post count, they display the NEW post count |

I think you hit it on the head, I occasionally have members that think that number should correspond to that post. IE: 7th post, 8th post etc... and I have to explain it to them.

Thank you guys I will check it out by posting under the users name that questioned his post and make sure it incremented. Again thank you. Once before I had a problem and it was because the user used a space in his name, I removed the space and all was well. |
