I would very much appreciate comments on my use of a pop-up version of topic.asp on my portal www.avgifter.com u: SNITZ pw:562GUR
When clicking on the magnifying glass you´ll se how it works and I am curious if my very amateurish modification has some obvious disadvantages. Any comments on my use of the hint-script are also welcome.

I can tell you it functions pretty well... I think... I can't say much because I can't read Swedish.

Nice effect! Would be nicer if it distinguished a bit from the background color, a wee bit lighter for instance. (just a couple of tints....)
Which script are you using for it btw? I use Overlib at oxle for something similar, in the 'my feeds' section and the sidebar.

Thank you for your comments. I need to to do lot before I am satisfied with the look and I will immediatly try other looks for the hints starting with a lighter tone of grey. (I suspect a lot thinks it´t to greyish already :)).
I am using a free hints-script from www.softcomplex.com. (I have also bought their table-pro script (30 usd?)and it´s also great although I do not understand why it doesn´t allow me to filter an already filtered table. You do not happen to know of a script that can do that)

Okay. . .I was looking in the forum for the magnifying glass.

"Antelligen" works okay and I like it.

"Psy-punka" is okay.

There is a problem with :
In "Vattenfalls" next to "Las hela notisen. . ." the pop up box is okay except the drop-down boxes in the third column next to "Visa" show through the pop-up box.

The new window gives this message:

P, thx a lot for detailed info. The problem with "Visa" show through is a shortcoming for the script and softcomplex do not intend/cannot fix it. I will redesign the page and that way avoid the problem.

The message says that you are not logged in but if you use username: SNITZ password :562GUR in the login form in the left column you will see a pop-up version of topic.asp. It is my attempt to get members to comment on my news hitting the topic immediatly. I do not mind if you try it out writing whatever as a reply (hit any key and the reply form will show up).

Okay. . .I logged in, clicked the mag lense and the topic window with replies popped up. This is very good, I like the way it works.

However, there is no "Reply" button visible. I clicked on various places but nothing happened (except to Print or Close).
There appears no way for me to reply.

P, if you press a key instead of clicking the reply-form will show up.("Tryck på valfri tangent .....). I would prefer to have the reply form open like it is here but I do not know how to do it. I think the key-press-script is an Image construction but no one there has answered my q about it.

Good idea but lighter made it more difficult to read with white text. I made it a little bit darker and I think it became pretty good.

P says

I have changed the disposition of the page and when the animated graph shows through it is only a wish-able effect for people understanding a very small language called Swedish.
P also says
quote:
..no reply button ..
but that one is now taken care of with Images fix.
I am really a lucky ASP-amateur meeting people like you, thank you.

I looked at it again, only this time there is NO magic preview window when I put the mouse over the magifying glass.
I tried logging in, but still no preview window.
Did you turn it off?

Strange, it works for me. Not all magnifying glasses should show "magic preview window" (I will use another icon for that case).

No. . .still nothing.
The mouse over works for the three buttons under "Billigaste avtalet".
But nothing happens on the magnifiying lense.

The photo adds a nice human interest touch. You should keep it higher up in the column. . .everything is starting to look to technical now.
