When I try to login it says I logged in successfully but returns me to the login screen.

I just just moved my website from a personal MS Server 2000 to MS 2003 server using Plesk for site management, I have searched your data base and have tried everything I found here. I have setup the ODBC DSN to point to my db file and I have created a IUSR_MACHINE domain user and gave it full rights to my db file. When that did not work I tried IUSR_SERVER, which worked with my 2000 server, as the domain user and it did the same. I have also run setup.asp each time.
The only way I got it to actually get to login screen was to give myself as the domain user full rights to the db file, befor that it just wouldn't load the login page. But still it dumps me back to the login screen. I also tried all three connection strings to the database with no change.

I know it reads the database because I tried a name that is not registered in the database and it returned an error saying that the user is not registered.

I am ready to pull whats left of my hair out with not much left to loose. Help please.

Have you deleted all your cookies, closed all browser windows and tried again? Do you have a link to your forum?

Yes, I deleted my cookies and temp internet files. I haven't reassigned my DNS yet until I know that the forum works. I am thinking of going into my working server and turning off the login restiction and copying the database over to the new server again and giving that a try.

But here is how you can view it till I switch the DNS...

Have you set the forum URL in Admin Options->Main Forum Config?

I turned off require registration and updated the forum url and copied the changed data base file over to the new server. I can now view the forum but it says that I have to login to post any topics and still will not allow me login

Whoops I spoke to soon, I switched my DNS address after making the above changes and it now works!!! After thinking about it the www.journeyofthesoul.com/forum2 wouldn't be correct until I made the DNS change. I went back into the config and turned the require registration and it is now working like a charm thanks for your help!!!
