Hey,
I just downloaded the snitz forum, and started modifying it to be a little more CSS based - nothing fancy, just getting rid of the font tags, adding background images to tables etc.
But then I started thinking, that someone has probably already done this, so there is a 'mod' out there I can download? It's not really hard work, but a bit tedious, so if there is a download out there for this, and someone could direct me to it, that would be great!
I am really just wanting to make the forum look a bit more 'modern' - getting away from the flat colors etc. And once this is done, it would be very easy to change the look with simple 'skins' - just by replacing a single css file, and a set of images in an image folder.
Anyway, just though I'd ask before I put too much time in to this.
Thank you in advance! |

You can find a css-versionhere and I think there are alternatives but I do not know where. |

There are a couple around here. The more up-to-date one is the Speed Ball II (a.k.a. 'SBII') forum found in a thread here at the forums. (There have been a couple of attempts at a version III, but none have finished yet.)
Image's forum (The one Roger linked to) has a bunch of MODs pre-installed, so if it has some of the MODs you were going to install anyway...
As for the SBII forum it has all but the last two security updates, and the Site Integration MOD. Beyond that, its your Vanilla Snitz with CSS.
I use it over at Warsong Records and at work. I think its a little faster, but if you want to add MODs most of them are going to have to be tweaked to work with SBII since most of the MODs assume no CSS... as opposed to the rather large community of people making and converting MODs for Image's.
Your call. |

Great, thank you for the links!
I downloaded the speedball 2, and have started to customize it. This will save me a lot of time. Here's my forum, btw: http://www.colorsontheweb.com/forum/ I still have some work to do on it.
Thanks! |
